How to choose cabinet hardware

• Match the finish to the room, not just the cabinet. Brass warms up white and navy shaker; matte black reads modern on slab and flat-panel doors; brushed nickel and chrome stay neutral next to stainless appliances. Pick the faucet and lighting finish first, then the hardware.
• Knobs on doors, pulls on drawers is the classic rule. Pulls everywhere gives a cleaner, more modern look; knobs everywhere reads traditional.
• Size pulls to the drawer. Drawers up to 24" wide look right with 5"–6" pulls; 30"–36" drawers take 8"–12" pulls or two smaller ones. Appliance-style pulls suit pantry and refrigerator panels.
• Bring a door. The showroom has hardware boards you can hold against your exact door sample — the fastest way to decide between three finishes.

Sinks and faucets that fit your cabinets

• Sink width vs. base cabinet: a 30" sink needs a 33" sink base, a 33" sink needs a 36" base. If you're ordering cabinets with us, we size the base to the sink you choose.
• Farmhouse (apron-front) sinks need an apron-front sink base and a different countertop cutout — decide on the sink before the cabinets are ordered.
• Undermount vs. drop-in: undermount is the standard pairing with quartz, granite and quartzite; drop-in works with any top and any cabinet.
• Faucet holes: single-hole pull-down faucets are the most common; bridge faucets and separate sprayers need extra holes drilled in the countertop, so pick the faucet before the top is templated.

Hardware is priced per piece. Bundle it with a cabinet order and our crew installs it during the cabinet install; buy it on its own and we'll match the finish to a door or drawer front you bring in.
